The Centre

Doctor Léon-Patrice Celestin

M.D., psychiatrist, psychotherapist and ‘Hospital Practicioner’

The FACE Centre, directed clinically and academically by doctor Léon-Patrice Celestin and professor Smadar Westreich, offers consultations, diagnostic assessment, psychotherapy, coaching, supervision and training.

Doctor Léon-Patrice Celestin is psychiatrist (ULB training), psychotherapist as well as ‘Hospital Practitioner’ in Paris.

Doctor Léon-Patrice Celestin is a long-time member of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), the Société Royale de Médecine Mentale de Belgique (SRMMB) and the American Psychiatric Association.

He is also member of the : International Family Therapy Association (IFTA), International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy (IACP), International Neuropsychoanalysis Society (NPSA), Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) and the International Forum of Psychosis & Bipolarity (IFPB).

Professor Smadar Westreich

Ph.D., doctor in clinical psychology

Smadar Westreich is doctor in clinical psychology and professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where she is part of the Department of Clinical and Life Span Psychology.

She also directs the training and research activities of the multi-site FACE© program for France and the Netherlands. Furthermore, she is an appointed expert to the Superior Council of Health and is part, since its creation, of the steering comité of the Flemish interuniversity postgraduate training in psychological assessment with children and their families.

Professor Westreich is a registered psychologist at the Commission of Psychologists and is member of the Belgian Federation of Psychologists (BFP-FBP), the Flemish Association for Clinical Psychologists (VVKP) and the American Psychological Association.

 

Doctor Celestin and professor Westreich have co-authored books, tests and scientific articles relative to, amongst others, ADHD, bipolar disorders, trauma and stress (in youth) as well as relative to mental health services organization, observation and assessment.
